Loan Officer (Full-Time)
Retain and expand customer relationships; develop new consumer, residential, and commercial relationships; and cross-sell bank products and services. Strong analytical skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills are a must. Bachelor’s degree and previous lending experience is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Advise clients about the risks, consequences, and benefits of alternative lending solutions
- Develop loan applications by evaluating applicant’s information and documentation
- Consult with clients about their lending needs to help them achieve their financial goals, including the collection and analysis of information about the client’s financial situation
- Evaluate loan applications and documentation by informing applicants of additional requirements
- Reject loans by explaining deficiencies to applicants
- Structure loans for borrowers, including rates and fees for loans
- Schedule and track closing dates, contingency dates, and loan lock expirations
- Approve loans by issuing proceeds or forwarding applications to loan committee
- Complete loan contracts by explaining provisions to applicants, obtain signatures and notarizations, and collect fees
- Prepare and submit loan files timely and accurately
- Help customers by answering questions and responding to requests
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping loan information confidential
- Accomplish the Bank’s mission by completing related results as needed
- Accept assignments as required to maintain adequate staffing levels throughout branch system
- Additional training provided as needed for ideal candidate
- Other duties as assigned
